This Guy Fawkes', instead of forking out for fireworks from your local cornershop that will probably be more like damp squibs than fantastic explosions, what better way to celebrate the near destruction of parliament than by attending a public firework display? The displays will be beautifully coordinated, safe and relatively cheap. Read on for our list of some of the best around the UK this year.

Fireworks Frenzy Santa Pod Raceway - An unbelievable extravaganza of monster trucks, stunt drivers, motorcycle shows, jet-powered trucks, funfair, family entertainments, fireworks, a bonfire and laser show! The Santa Pod Raceway in Wellingborough , Northants is the place to be this Guy Fawkes'. The event kicks off from 4pm and costs £15 in advance or £20 on the door for a car (max 5 people).
Drayton Manor's Diamond Jubille Fireworks Spectacular - an audio visual feast taking in the history and attraction of the park. With fan-shaped water fountains on the lake, smoke features, laser writers and search lights in the sky and spectacular fireworks launched from the rides. The display starts at 7pm and selected rides are open until 9pm. Tickets are £18 or £12 for seniors.
Sandown Illuminated Carnival & Fireworks - A great big carnival on the Isle of Wight including floats, judging of the best floats, live music, a parade, a fire show on the beach, samba music, a fire and pyrotechnics show and and a grand finale of fireworks off Sandown Pier. Events start from 5pm and entry is free.
Glasgow Green - This spectacular show taking place on the 5th is completely free and includes fireworks set to music, lasers, live bands and a funfair. It all takes place with the city's famous Winter Gardens as the backdrop.
Bristol Zoo's Bangless Bonfire Nights - 5th and 6th November from 5.30pm at Bristol Zoo you can enjoy the beauty of sparkling fireworks without any of the scary bang - good for kids and the animals. Adult tickets are £4.75 kids are £3.50. book in advance as there are limited tickets.
LEGO Indiana Jones Fireworks - Taking place on 24, 25, 30 & 31 October, 1 & 7 November, LEGOLAND Windsor will be open from 10:00 with the show starting at dusk. This is all included in the normal LEGOLAND ticket price, which is £33.30 for adults and £25.20 for kids.The rides will close one hour before the fireworks begin.
Plymouth - On the 5th November, Smeaton's Tower, The Citadel and the Hoe's formal gardens will be awash with colourful floodlights and red poppies will be projected on the Royal Naval War Memorial for Poppy Appeal. There will be entertainments, music, fairground rides and refreshments and at 7.30pm the bonfire will be lit followed by the firework display accompanied by music from the Citadel ramparts at 8pm.
Roundhay Park - Leeds' biggest bonfire and fireworks event takes place on the 5th November. The fire will be lit at 7.30 pm and the display begins at 8pm. Admission is free.
Hartlepool Fireworks & Music Spectacular - On Saturday the 7th November, the most popular firework display in the area takes place. There will be children's funfair rides and stalls from 4pm, entertainment from 5pm and the display kicks off at 6.30pm. It's free to get in.

Firework Spectacular at St Anthony's Primary School, Primate Rd, Titchfield Common Hampshire PO14 4RP on Saturday 7th November at 4.30pm. Hog roast, bbq, mulled wine and apple juice. Games and pocket money stalls, hot chocolate. Massive bonfire and wonderful firework display. Starts soon after 4.30pm so don't be late! Family ticket (2+2) £13 on the gate or collect from school office £9. Under 5 free. Tel. 01489 579100.

Oxford Round Table are holding their annual Charity Fireworks Event and Bonfire at South Parks Headington Oxford on Saturday 7th November 2009.
£11,000 worth of Fireworks will light the sky's above Oxford again this year followed by the burning of the 26ft Ice Princess Wicker Sculpture
(the winning design of Joshua age 7) and then the huge bonfire.
There will be a large FunFare and plenty of Food Wagons and Heart Fm to entertain you.
The Gates Open at 5pm with the big light up from 6.30pm...
(don't be late or you will miss the Fireworks).
Tickets on the gate £6 single & £15 Family (2 Adults , 2 children)

Austrey Community Group in North Warwickshire are holding their anual Fireworks and Bonfire night on Saturday 7th November. The Fire this year features a "TOP GEAR" type caravan burning theme and will be lit at 7.00pm.
The Firework display at 7.30pm, will last for around 30 minutes and will be followed by a spectacular proffessional finale, carried out by Overseal Pyrotechnics.

Stirling and Bridge of Allan Round Table will host a charity fireworks display and concert on Thursday 5th November at the Bridge of Allan Games Field. Star of the concert will be a guest appearance by X Factor finalist Eoghan Quigg.
Gates open from 5:30 pm on the 5th November with Entertainment from 6:15 pm and fireworks display at 7:30 pm. Tickets costing £3 for adults or £2 concession (children, students & OAP’s) will be available on the night at the gate or in advance from the Albert Halls Box Office on Tel 01786-473544.

Carlisle fire display at Bitts Park. Free entry. Spectacular bonfire & fireworks.
Charity collections for local charities. Display put on by Carlisle City Council.

hebden bridge,west yorkshire,bonfire an firework display.has rides,stalls etc.it does cost to get in but not to sure how much.last year was £2 per child,£3.50per adult.entry after 5pm,fireworks start at 7pm.

Kimbolton School firworks display: AMAZING! Not sure how much it costs as I get in free for being a student, but its definately worth the money you spend. They normally have a fairground there too for entertainment.

Crook Town Cricket Club in County Durham Is holding a big firework display on Friday 6th November 2009 please come along and support this all are welcome gates open 6pm They have a fairground there too for entertainment. and hot food

Sevenoaks Round Table will be holding their firewoks display, and it should be a spectacular event as it is our 45th! on Saturday 7 November. First rocket at 7.30pm
Tickets are available at Lorimers, on the gate, or from schools that have subscribed to them, please check with your PTA.
The evening will start with Kent's only remaining Torchlight procession, at the Sevenoaks Bus station at 6.30pm, and will be led to the bonfire by a marching band.

Have you noticed how many Bonfire & Firework Events are held by Round Table's up and down the country?
Its a brilliant organisation to join and its not just bonfires and sleighs that these guys do. They do all sorts, its brilliant.

Leyland Round Table Bonfire and Fireworks Spectacular where we bring the skies above Leyland to life not to mention making the earth shake!.
Join us as we celebrate Guy Fawkes Night with what is now our 39th Annual Bonfire & Fireworks at Worden Park, Leyland on Thursday 5th November 2009.
This event is one of the North West's Premier public displays renown for its spectacular Fireworks with a large bonfire and a live DJ road show provided by DJ Paul K. There is also a Fun fair and food stalls selling a variety of food and drinks.
The Fireworks Display is run by MDL a professional organisation on our behalf and our friends from St. Johns Ambulance and Lancashire Constabulary will also be present to make sure the whole evening is safe for adults and children alike.
